Budget blinds shutters11/23/2023 The hidden tilt mechanism and the build of the shutters were very poor design from the day one. Found bubbles and terrible paint work on louvers. We had taken time to inspect every shutter in all the rooms we could see many of the shutter louvers are not closing tight (there are big gaps in many of them), several are not closing and opening uniformly, and some louvers appear to have unusual very loose movements where they are attached to the hidden control lever. Mike and Michelle didn't show-up to inspect the issue when we call for defect support. We are not satisfied with the Budget Blinds / Ameritex (shutter manufacturer) customer service and quality of the plantation shutters which were installed in end of May 2022. They ensure they build quality shutters and the shutters are inspected for quality control so weĭon't waste time on defect issues in my house. I still insisted to Michelle that the timeline of installation delay is fine as long The plantation shutter installation was delayed for few weeks because of manufacturing delay and we couldn't get a Friday installation for two weeks. Trust on quality of Budget Blinds and wanted to support small business. We gave our business to Mike and Michelle Davis who is North Houston franchisee based on I will never do business with thus company again and will let everyone I know how awful they are. I am irritated every time I walk by those rooms.Īlso, I did not get a copy of my purchase agreement and when I asked, I was emailed a spreadsheet without signatures or even a company logo. So - every couple of weeks I grab a stepstool and get up there and push the velcro back where it belongs. His response again was "That's the fix that the company is doing!" He told me to "Don't get the hairs on your head standing up in a tither"! I was furious beyond words! That is not what I purchased and I said that to him. I told him I was not satisfied with that as I specifically stated velcro was a NO when I purchased these shades. When I called Larry his response was "That's what the company was willing to do". When the installer came I thought he would be bringing shades made correctly however the fix turned out to be valances attached by velcro. The next time they came to install I noticed there were NO valances at all. Obviously no one had checked my order before coming for installation so 2 rooms of shades had to be remade. The first time they came to install shades for 2 if my bedrooms it was found that the shades were only 12 inches long. He assured me that would not happen with his blinds as the valances would be sewn on to the shade. I "specifically" told Larry that I had purchased Roman shades for my previous home and the valances were attached by velcro which was constantly falling off and I DID NOT want that again. I purchased 4 rooms of Roman Shades for my new home in 2018. I was going to do my living room and bedrooms. Theresa McGoldrick handled the rest of the business. For the record this is the Moorestown, Collingswood offices Demery Hana was the rep for the living room windows. I canceled the order and told her I would be waiting for the replacement for the french door. I'm one person with 2 hands so how am I supposed to do that. No, she wanted me to take pictures with a tape measure and send them to her cell phone. I would think Demery would have come back out and remeasured. I called and tried to tell her that the windows were the same width. When I asked about it she sent a email stating that because my windows were over 50 inches wide and my kitchen window was only 40 inches. Wanted shades for my living room they came back with an outrageous price. It's still up because they had to order another one. After waiting for it to arrive and install it was determined that it was the wrong color. First attempt one of the 3 shades bottom rail was scratched up and one would go up about 3/4 then stop for a couple seconds and then it continued on it way to the top. It's now November 10th and they still haven't gotten it right. Purchased roller shades for my French door back in June of 22.
